Service Limitations & Surface Disclaimer

This page outlines important limitations associated with maintenance and protective services provided by First Stop Contracting Inc. These limitations apply to all services unless otherwise specified in writing.

Existing Surface Conditions

Most services performed by First Stop Contracting Inc. are applied to existing surfaces or structures. The performance and longevity of maintenance services depend heavily on the condition of the underlying material.

First Stop Contracting Inc. cannot guarantee the structural condition of:

• Existing asphalt pavement
• Concrete substrates
• Roofing systems
• Wood structures
• Previously installed materials
• Base layers or subgrade materials

Hidden defects, aging materials, or structural failures may affect the results of any maintenance service.

Asphalt Surface Limitations

Asphalt pavement naturally deteriorates over time due to environmental and structural factors including freeze-thaw cycles, water penetration, heavy traffic, UV exposure, ground movement, and aging of asphalt binder.

Services such as sealcoating, crack filling, and patching are preventative maintenance treatments intended to slow deterioration and extend pavement life. These services cannot permanently prevent cracking, potholes, or structural pavement failure.

Colour and Appearance Variations

Surface maintenance treatments may produce variations in colour and appearance due to differences in existing surface conditions, age of existing materials, porosity of surfaces, application conditions, and environmental factors. These variations are normal and do not indicate a defect in workmanship.
